The Top HiFi system is used for sound output.
Brief description of components
Top Hi-Fi system
The following components are used in the Top HiFi system:
- 2 tweeters / mid-range speakers in the front doors, each aligned to the front seat occupants.
- 2 tweeters / mid-range speaker in the rear parcel shelf.
- 2 tweeters / mid-range speakers in the rear doors, supplied by the Top HiFi amplifier.
- 1 central loudspeaker in the middle of car beneath the windshield glass.
- 2 subwoofers, fitted under the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. The subwoofers are supplied by the Top HiFi amplifier.
- Top HiFi amplifier with many supplementary functions
Main functions
Radio / TV mute
The ”mute” function mutes the radio and TV or reduces the audio volume. It may also stop the CD player. The ”mute” function is activated by the audio system controller (ASK) on the basis of the following prioritization:
- Telephone
- Traffic report
- Navigation system announcements
- Radio /CD, TV, etc. playback
Audio output for Entertainment
For Entertainment, the audio signals are output by all loudspeakers.
Audio output for Infotainment
For Infotainment, the audio signals are only output by the front left and front right loudspeakers as well as the rear left and rear right loudspeakers.
Note for Service department:
If the Top HiFi amplifier fails, there can be Infotainment output. Entertainment output will nevertheless not function properly.
