The Automatic Hold function can fail in the following cases while the vehicle is being driven without a fault code being set:
1. Safety concept: The function of the parking brake is subject to strict safety measures.
To protect the technician and the customer, the Automatic Hold function cannot be activated in the following case.
With the corresponding gear engaged and opened engine bonnet or luggage compartment lid. Defective bonnet or boot-lid-contact switches could cause the same state as the safety concept.
The Automatic Hold function cannot be deactivated.
2. At speeds under 10 kph the driver briefly does activate the seat occupancy detection. The Automatic Hold function is disabled.

in the displayed test module, the following fault causes are checked:
- Bonnet / boot-lid-contact switch
Seat occupation detection
Speed signal from dynamic stability control
