Fault in Convertible top closing

 

Latch hooks do not close.

Determine fault pattern at the vehicle and enter the fault code in the test module. After entering the fault code, the repair instructions are displayed.

Convertible top material tension too high. (Especially after longer period of storage or if cover recently replaced)

Only on vehicles before production week 28/2004:

Latch hooks get stuck at 'lug' on the hook.

Grub screw on the roof frame incorrectly set (unscrewed too far)

Grub screw on main bearing incorrectly set (unscrewed too far)

Sliding member of the latch hook jams. Swarf/chips are visible or part is bent.

Convertible top wiring harness is scuffed in the area of the left C-pillar due to a sharp-edged bolt.

Drive for interlock and folding sun roof faulty (fuse, plug-in connection, relay)
