Note
For safety reasons, TV and video operation is only permitted on a monitor additionally connected in the rear compartment while the car is being driven.
Programs 01 to 30 can be selected by turning to the left or right once the program function is selected.
A channel scan is activated by keeping the control button depressed. The channels with the strongest signal are briefly displayed from memory in ascending channel order. The button must be pressed again in order to carry on viewing a channel.
The station search function is triggered by turning the button to the left or right. During the search run, the channel displayed changes from green to yellow. The search direction can be changed by quickly turning the button in the other direction. Once a channel has been found the station can be stored by pressing the station button.
The sound is muted when the MUTE message is shown on the shield because of poor reception of the channel selected.
10 stations with good reception are stored automatically in memory locations 21 to 30. If memory locations are still free, stations with weaker reception are stored during the second search pass.
In this function, the basic settings such as contrast, brightness and color can be varied and country-specific TV standards can be set.
An additional setting where the color tone can also be varied appears for countries using the NTSC standard.
The prerequisite for video text reception is that video text is possible in the country selected and on the station selected.
Video text is overlaid on the TV shield when the video text function is activated.
A menu list appears on the monitor after video text selection:
