Sensor - coolant temperature - radiator output
The sensor is an NTC thermistor (negative temperature coefficient) which is mounted at the radiator output. The sensor monitors the function of the thermostat which is required as of model year 2000 to comply with OBD-II.
The sensor is located at the radiator output.
A defective coolant output temperature sensor reports a fault to the thermostat. This signal leads to activation of the MIL.
