Setting the wiper range

The upper reversal position of the windscreen wiper can be set to an accuracy of +/- 5 mm using the service function ”Set wiper range”.

Setting procedure

The upper reversal position is set using the following correction sequence:

• Start of the correction sequence
  The wiper is activated via a diagnosis command and moves to the upper reversal position stored in the wiper module. The wipers come to a standstill there.
  
• Determining the deviation
  If it is necessary to correct the upper reversal position, the deviation from the setpoint position is measured using a ruler.
  
• Entering the correction value
  In the test module, the correction value measured in mm is entered. As the value is only transferred to the wiper module in 5-mm steps, it is enough to measure up to an accuracy of 5 mm.
  Entering the value
  
• Transfer into the wiper module
  After confirmation of the input, the correction value is transferred to the wiper module.
