Initialising Teleservice

Initialising TeleService (only with SA 605 and SA 607)

The vehicle must be initialised at the provider. This function is started from the vehicle.

Note: If no network or GPS connection is possible in the workshop, run the initialisation outdoors. In this case, the pre-delivery check must be terminated beforehand.

A valid SIM card is necessary for initialisation. The SIM card of the customer does not have to be used. The initialisation is possible in all mobile telephone networks. (Note for Germany: services are not supported by the O2 network)

Vehicles with option SA 605 or option SA 607 have the functionality Teleservice. Here, if required, the CBS data is sent from the vehicle to the home dealer or central service centres. Initialisation is necessary to activate the services.

To achieve this, the phone numbers

- BMW dealer

- BMW hotline

- BMW Roadside Assistance

are entered in the vehicle during the pre-delivery check.

If the customer has also ordered BMW Assist (SA612 + contract), this is also enabled during initialisation. The initialisation has no effect on the product BMW Online.

Perform the initialisation with the following steps:

- Insert the SIM card in the vehicle

- Switch on the ignition

- Log the telephone onto the network

- In the Controller menu ā€iā€ >Settings Communication >Settings BMW Assist >Service Status >Enable BMW Assist Services (deviation E65: Controller > BMW Assist > Status > BMW Assist > Initialise)

- Activate the service, wait for report status

- Close the menu
