Repair instruction for headlight fogged inside

Complaint

Headlight has condensation inside, fogged. It looks as if moisture has entered.

Cause

Caused by physical conditions.
Cold-hot effect. We have an open system in the headlight. Especially at lower outside temperature, we have high atmospheric humidity in the headlight.

Repair instruction

NB! Important information!

Headlight containing condensation have no leaks and are thus not relevant to warranty. At some point, the new headlight will also develop the same fault pattern.
After approx. 15 minutes of driving time with low-beam headlights, the dewfall disappears.

If a warranty headlight replacement becomes necessary in the case of vehicles with production as of 05.09.2005, proceed as follows:

1. Before removing the headlight, take a frontal photo of both headlights.
   
2. In addition, take a photo of the affected headlight of the vehicle. Send the photos, specifying the vehicle identification number, to
