Repair instruction for 'rattling noise when folding sun roof is fully/partially opened'

Complaint

Rattling noise from the area of the roof panel / guide rails when folding sun roof is fully or partially opened.

Cause

A possible cause is excessive play in the mechanical system for the sliding roof.

Repair instruction

1. Check the play in the mechanical system of the sliding roof. See Fig. 1.
   
2. If required, replace the mechanical system for the sliding roof according to the repair instructions. See Fig. 2.
