Disruptive unlocking noise when opening the tensioning bar.

Cause

Possible cause is a defective or worn steel roller on the holder of the tensioning bar

Repair instruction

Replace the defective steel roller on the tensioning bar holder with a new nylon roller. BMW part number 54 34 7 167 333. See Fig. 1.
