Repair instructions for 'grinding noise from the guide rail'

 

Complaint

When the folding sun roof is operated, a grinding noise can be heard from the guide rail.

Cause

Guide rail on the folding sun roof.

Repair instruction

  1. Remove the inner guide rail in accordance with repair instructions RA 5434357.
  2. Apply lubricating grease (BMW part number 83 23 0 396 713) to the inner guide. See Fig. 1.
