Repair instructions regarding defective sliding roof mechanism

Complaint

The customer complains that the convertible top does not lock.
The mechanical system of the sliding sunroof panel is defective.

Cause

On vehicles produced between 03.01.2005 and 04.04.2005, the sliding roof mechanism can develop a defect.
The knee lever of the sliding roof mechanism can break. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.

Repair instruction

Check the sliding roof mechanism and in the event of damage replace it in line with repair instructions RA5434181. See Fig. 3.

Series solution

Since 04.04.2005, a modified sliding roof mechanism has been fitted ex works.
