CVT gearbox ratio step-up actuator

Gearbox ratio step-up actuator

Function

The step-up ratio of the CVT gearbox is controlled in all gearbox modes by a servomotor. For this purpose, the DME engine control unit transmits a signal to the GIB (Gearbox Interface Box) to inform it of the desired position of the primary belt pulley. The GIB processes the instruction and controls the movement of the motor by means of the hydraulic control unit accordingly.

Installation location

The motor is located on the primary valve in the gearbox valve bank and is connected to the main wiring harness by way of a circular connector.
