Heated rear window RR

The heated rear window is activated by pressing the HRW button provided the convertible top has been rear window detected as closed (message from CVM). Check-back is signalled by the function light in the button. The HRW function is deactivated when the HRW button is pressed again or after the heating period of 10 or 17 minutes has elapsed. The 5-minute afterheating phase is activated if the HRW button is pressed during timed operation.

Function

The HRW function is independent of the other button functions of the IHKA.

Defrosting phase In order to achieve an optimal defrosting effect, after terminal 15 On (new start after sleep mode) the time span for the heated rear window is set with the first switch-on as follows:

• Outside temperature ≥ -15 °C: heating period 10 minutes
  
• Outside temperature ≤ -15 °C: heating period 17 minutes
  

The function LED is lit during the heating time.

Timing: After the defrosting phase, the heater is activated for 30 minutes with 1/4 of the heat output in cycles:

ON for 3 seconds

OFF for 9 seconds

The function LED is deactivated during the timing.
