The on-board monitor (OBM) is the operating unit and display for the following components:
The functions are operated and displayed on the monitor from the on-board monitor control panel.
The colour display is an LCD monitor (5.8 inches) in TFT technology with a cross-section ratio of 16:9. An HMI processor integrated in the navigation computer creates the monitor graphics for all operating modes. The display has an RGB video input for the graphics information from the navigation computer.
This switch the most important element for the user to control the systems for navigation and on-board computer. Functions: Selection of menu items and input of destination data.
The menu key displays the main menu screen, independent of which function is currently active. As standard, when the ignition is switched on the function that was active before switching off the ignition is called up.
Selecting the menu item SETTINGS and then confirming with the rotary/push button activates the Service mode. Then press and hold the MENU key for 8 seconds. This displays the menu screen for the Service mode. The Service mode has four main menu items:
