CAN Bus DDE
Data exchange between the following control units takes place via the CAN bus:
- DDE control unit
- Instrument cluster control unit
- ABS/DSC control unit
- Steering angle sensor
Troubleshooting
Following faults are recognized concerning the CAN bus:
- Hardware fault on DDE control unit (CAN Controller)
The affected values are replaced by substitute values.
- Communication fault between the control units
Consequence: The functions whose messages are affected by failure of the CAN bus fail, e.g. ASC and engine drag torque control.
