Fuel Delivery Drift Matching, DDE 4.0

enables balancing of the run-time-dependent changes to the injector rates. This improves the emissions values.

As of a certain kilometre reading and with the engine idle speed, the DDE control unit learns the deviation of the injection rate of all four injectors on the basis of a number of injection parameters. This deviation is then corrected by the DDE control unit.

Fuel Delivery Drift Matching only influences the amount of the pre-injection.

Dependent of the repair, the service function Fuel Delivery Drift Matching must be run in the event of repairs. This is the only way to ensure that the matching works after the repair.

The following table shows the operation to be run in the service function depending on the repair:

Repair

Operation service function

Replacement of the DDE control unit, all injectors old

Engine replacement

Replacement of all injectors, DDE control unit old

Replacement of the DDE control unit, maximum three injectors replaced
