On-board monitor

The top navigation on-board monitor (BM) is the control unit (with cassette drive) and display for following components:

The functions are operated and displayed on the monitor from the on-board monitor control panel.

The system users are interlinked via the K-bus. Operation of push buttons and incremental transducers (radio rotary knob and BM rotary knob) is transferred via the K-bus to the individual components. The cassette stage is controlled by the radio via the K-bus.

The graphics stage (navigation computer) creates the images from the K-bus information of the individual control units and transfers them via the RGB interface to the display.

LC Display

The monitor temperature is measured by a temperature sensor. If the overtemperature threshold is exceeded, the monitor is switched off and is not reactivated before it has cooled down.

Radio LED

The radio LED is controlled by the radio via the K-bus and indicates the radio ON/OFF status.

Incremental transducer

The radio rotary knob serves the purpose of setting the volume for all devices incorporated in the top navigation system.

The menus of the interlink system are served with the BM rotary knob.
