Solenoid valves (MV), electronic pressure control valves(EDS)

The mechatronics (electrohydraulic gearbox control module and hydraulic selector unit) have various solenoid valves and electronic pressure control valves.

Brief description of components (solenoid valves)

The solenoid valves are 3/2-way valves, i.e. valves with 3 connections and 2 switch positions.

Brief description of components (electronic pressure actuators)

The electronic pressure actuators convert electric current into a proportional hydraulic pressure and thus activate hydraulic valves with their corresponding switch elements.

Two types of electronic pressure actuators are fitted:

EDS (electronic pressure actuators) with rising characteristic curve:

• Pressure range: 0 kPa to 888 kPa
  
• Control current range: 100 mA to 1100 mA
  
• Power supply: 12 V
  

Electronic pressure actuators, falling characteristic curve

• Pressure range: 888 kPa to 0 kPa
  
• Control current range: 1100 mA to 100 mA
  
• Power supply: 12 V
  

Gearbox adaptation after a repair

If the mechatronics or the hydraulic control gear are replaced in the course of a repair or the gearbox control is newly programmed, the service function ”Gearbox adaptation” must be carried out.

After replacement of the entire gearbox, the service function does not have to be run, as the gearbox is already fully calibrated on delivery.
