The Central Information Display is a folding LC display. Defined positions are set automatically by means of electric drive.
If the Central Information Display is not in the display position, an analog clock is visible.
A high-quality analog clock is integrated in the casing for the LC display. The clock has two pointers, indicating hours and minutes.
The switch fitted in the glovebox is used to set the time of the analog clock forwards or back.
The lights switching centre (LSZ) provides the signal for the backlighting in the analog clock.
The operating voltage for the analog clock is generated from the vehicle voltage.
The lighting of the analog clock is controlled by the lights switching centre (LSZ). Here, manual inputs via the dimmer wheel are included in the calculation.
The lights switching centre (LSZ) provides the brightness setting of the dimmer wheel as a power PWM signal (terminal 58g).
If the clock is not set (e.g. after disconnecting the battery), the right time can be set by operating the switch in the glovebox.
