Self test

There is a self-test routine for diagnostic purposes

Activating the self-test

• • Switch off ignition
    
  • Press and hold the button for seat heating
    
  • Switch on ignition (terminal 15) with button depressed
    
  • Release the button and press it again briefly
    
  • Flash-code output
    

The flashing code contains the following information

• 1 flash: Switch faulty (potentiometer or electronics) or switch overheating due to a short-circuit
  
• 2 flashes: Temperature sensor has break or short
  
• 3 flashes: All heating elements broken or have a short (probably break or short in wiring harness)
