CVT transmission oil temperature sensor
The sensor is an NTK thermistor (negative temperature coefficient) which is fitted in the transmission case. It sends an analog temperature signal to the engine control unit. This signal enables temperature compensation on engaging the transmission clutches and thus increases the quality of gear changes.
The CVT transmission oil temperature sensor sends a signal to the engine control unit when the transmission has reached a temperature limit. The engine control unit then switches on the cooling fan.
The CVT transmission oil temperature sensor is located in the transmission case.
