Power window - convenience closing/opening
Power window function
- If the power window switch on the driver's side is pushed down, the driver's side window opens. Brief pressing (<400 ms) activates the convenience mode and a longer press (>400 ms) activates the standard mode (opening gradually). The passenger side window operates in the same way.
- If the power window switch on the driver's side is pushed up, the driver's side window closes. The passenger side window operates in the same way. A convenience mode as described for opening (above) is only possible on cars with anti-trapping strips; otherwise only on the driver's side with the engine running.
The power window function is available in the standard mode when the ignition key is in position 1 or 2. It is also available for an additional period of 255 seconds after the ignition key has been returned to position 0. During this period, any power window function is interrupted if one of the two doors is opened. The power window function can be restored by again turning the ignition key position 1.
During starting, (ignition key to position 3), all power window functions are interrupted.
